Individual Psychotherapy

1412425460Meeting YOUR goals is the goal.

Individual Therapy lasts one 50-minute session at a time and begins with an initial assessment session.

In our first session, we will discuss what is going on in your life and what you want to change. For example, one person might feel depressed and lack motivation or have difficulty adjusting to a significant life change. We will talk about how long you have been experiencing the problem or issue, identify how it has impacted your life, and develop goals to move beyond it.

In our subsequent sessions, we will dive deeper. We will identify the root cause of the problem and monitor progress toward your goals. Typically, we will meet once a week during the first phase. In each session, we will determine where you are relative to your goals and hone our approach with precision to help keep you moving forward and work through circumstances or situations as they arise from week to week.

Once you have made significant progress toward your goals, we will reduce our meeting frequency to once or twice monthly to help you maintain that progress. As you feel better and discover how to apply the tools and techniques learned in Therapy, we will meet less frequently.

Learning the right skills helps YOU gain control.

My goal is not to keep you returning every week for the rest of your life.

I want to help you develop the skills and abilities to feel great about yourself and embrace life with a positive mindset.

Ultimately, you can be alone and accomplish those things you find meaningful for yourself. When you hit a rough patch, you can always return. I will be here for you as a soft place to land and find the right support you need when you need it.
