About My Approach

1295506534Our work together is judgment free.

You might wonder what it is like to work with a therapist. If you’ve never done it, telling your life story and most intimate details to a stranger might be intimidating. You might also worry about being judged.

I understand because I have been there myself. I want to create a comfortable, judgment-free, safe atmosphere where you can share anything and everything. Judgment causes people to shut down, and you may be judging yourself.

My commitment to you is that no matter what you share with me, I will not judge but will provide honest feedback and give you unconditional positive regard.

Unlock your best.

Imagine how much progress you could make if you have someone who will provide 100% honest feedback while at the same time helping you maintain a positive view of yourself. This is what you finally need to move through the noise and make the breakthroughs you want.

I’ve always maintained that the modern world has separated us from nature, from our true selves. All your life, you’ve had to adapt, manage, and censor yourself in ways to survive. Think about it.

You had to learn to act and talk a certain way as a child to get through school. School prepared you for work where you had to modify your behavior further to get along.

The natural person you were meant to be by nature may be buried underneath all this training, suppression, and social conditioning.

The natural person should be allowed freedom and expression, but sometimes roadblocks arise. These can include feeling lost, having a sense of meaninglessness, feeling depressed, fearfulness, nervous tics, and other uncomfortable feelings and emotions.

When you come in for your first session, we will explore how your environment and upbringing have influenced you. We’ll discover the natural person you were meant to be and how to set that person free.

About Me

Dsc04347Empowering others is my goal.

I have a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I have worked in the mental health field for over 18 years. I also have experience working in several other areas, including law enforcement and the fitness industry.

Ultimately, I chose to work in mental health because I love psychology and using the knowledge of psychology to help people empower themselves and improve their lives.

I consider it a thrill and a privilege to share my knowledge of psychology and experience with you.

When I am not at the office addressing issues….

You can find me enjoying the sun at the beach, cooking up a storm in my kitchen, or learning about new places and cultures.

I love traveling and go abroad at every opportunity. I also value the health of my mind, body, and spirit, so I make daily exercise and meditation part of my routine.
